Joe LaTorre is an Enterprise Agile Coach and proactive leader passionate about helping teams improve the delivery and quality of their products and processes, and building positive professional relationships as well as coaching others to have similar successful results.
He has been in service with the Federal Government for approximately ten years, starting out as a Software Developer, moving on to a Team Lead, and currently working as an Internal Change Agent for Enterprise Services Center (ESC) of the Department of Transportation/Federal Aviation Administration (DOT/FAA).
Joe started learning and applying the Agile Manifesto values, principles and mindset in 2010 within the Information Services Division of the ESC, introducing the concepts to his software development teams, and started introducing enterprise level Agile frameworks to the ESC in 2015.
Joe was pivotal in successfully implementing the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe®) in ESC in June of 2016, with the first Agile Release Train being launched in October 2016.
As an Enterprise Agile Coach Joe is using his SAFe Program Consultant (SPC4) training, leadership experience, agile mindset and people skills to help train, lead and mentor executives, managers and employees throughout the enterprise.
Joe’s certifications include SPC4, Project Management Institute-Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), and Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO). His degrees include a Master’s degree in Business Administration, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.
Prior to arriving at ESC, Joe served our country as both an Enlisted and Commissioned U.S. Marine, honorably serving on active duty for 24 years.
Joe is married with three children and four grandchildren and he and his wife reside in Oklahoma. Joe is an avid health enthusiast with a daily balanced routine consisting of a healthy diet, muscular strength and cardiovascular endurance training.
